    Hi
Just installed IK- facebook to link to a public group but I just can’t get anything to display! The plugin status is showing API key and secret OK and Connected to FB graph API correct but the rest have failed. I have tried it on my own personal profile too and it fails to connect. The shortcode is as follows:

    [ik_fb_feed id=”1612048315692401″ use_thumb=”0″ hide_feed_images=”1″ show_like_button=”1″ show_profile_picture=”1″ show_page_title=”1″ show_posted_by=”0″ show_date=”1″ use_human_timing=”0″ date_format=”%B %d”]

Could it be linked to me not owning the group but just being an admin of it?
    Thanks

    Hey rharkers!

It could indeed be that perhaps you don’t have correct access to the group — if you try it with a known public page do you have different results?

I know it won’t work with Personal profiles – it’s designed to work with Public profiles only. However, you should have at least some success with the Group’s page, if its public!

    Best,

    Hi Richard

I’ve just tried it with this public page https://www.facebook.com/socialcyclingaustin and still no joy I’m afraid. It’s still showing a fail on the load your profile and load test profile statuses.

I’ve also found that although our group is Public, FB requires a login to access it which is odd. however, the above link doesn’t as it is a public page but it’s still not working…

    Thanks
    Richard

Ok I got it working now. It seems I can’t copy and paste properly from the api screen!

    Hey Richard!

Thanks for letting me know! I’m glad it wasn’t something more sinister.

    All the best,
    Richard
