Plugin cannot be activated because it triggered a fatal error : How to solve?
-
Hey there! Am asking about how to identify the issue if we cannot activate a plugin after deactivating it
I deactivated the WP Rich Snippet plugin and tried activating it after all these steps. It keeps giving me the Fatal Error message
1) I’ve disabled all plugins, change the theme to the official twenty fourteen WordPress theme and even went through the error log on cPanel. – Plugin keeps giving the Fatal error message
2) Went to PhpMyAdmin and cleaned up/repaired the database – Same result
3) I rebuilt the entire Apache, nginx and PHP – Still can’t activate without restoring the database
4) Copied everything to another domain hosted on the same VPS from ASO (A Small Orange). Then tried activating it on that domain (Fridgepirate.com) – it works on FP, even though the server was rebuilt
5) Dropped various tables from the Database which were Vaultpress backup – still won’t work on my siteAs such, I could summarise
1) It’s not a host problem (coz it works with another domain on the same host)
2) It’s not a conflict with other plugins nor theme (coz I disabled all other plugins and changed to the default WordPress theme)
3) It has something to do with the database and previous data from the plugin (that’s why the fatal error)I’ve reactivated the plugin by restoring the database to a previous hour.
