• Do I understand how this works correctly? After scanning and bringing in locally cached versions of images, it seems I must go back to each post/page where those images appear and click “Update” before the new src-code actually appears for the image. If I don’t do this, the old external-source image continues to appear. Is that how the plugin is supposed to work or is this an error?

    Thanks!

No, there are two ways to use this plugin: by searching for all external-source images and by their caching, and by using automatic caching which would cache images in post when that post is saved/published manually.

    Check out more detailed description.

Ah, then perhaps it is another bug – my already-published posts weren’t being updated with new local img-src until I re-saved them manually.

I’ll check this again after the new plugin update later today, maybe that will fix it. Thank you so much for your quick responses!

I’ve just released a new version, you can check it now.

Tested on a single-site install of WP 3.0.2 and it worked great! no errors, and old posts were automatically updated with new src code without me having to re-save.

I’ll let you know if there are any issues next time I have a chance to test this on a multisite installation.

Thank you so much for the fast fix!! ??
