[Plugin: Business Directory Plugin] Problems with Google Checkout

    Hi,

    I have business directory plugin installed and everything is working fine except for the google checkout. I enabled it and entered my Merchant ID. It also asks for the sellers ID, but when you register for google checkout you only get a merchant ID so I am not sure what the other field is asking for. Anyways, filling in the merchant ID and leaving the sellers ID empty still does not make it work. I appreciate any help.

    Hi Carol,

    Sounds like Google Checkout may have changed things on me. Seller ID is a required field, so put something in there–“SellerID” may be enough. Report back if Google is throwing new errors on this (which they should not).

    HI,

    I did as you said tried it with “seller id” in the merchant ID field and nothing happened. I have the google checkout enabled, payments enabled and have set up a price in order to register a business. When I complete the register form it then tells me that my listing will run for a certain amount of days and it will cost a certain amount. When I hit continue it just automatically submits the listing without showing the google checkout module, or without any type of payment.

    I also have the same problem with google checkout. It only asks me to enter merchant id though. But, when click on google checkout button I get this error: Oops!
    We were unable to process your request.

    And the link which contains the error message is: sandbox.google.com/checkout/api/

    Hi buddies,

    What version of BD are you running? We fixed this issue in 2.1.6.1.

    Are you running in test mode or regular mode when the error happens?

    Thanks for your prompt response! But, I don’t think I want to use Google Checkout anyway. It seems so complicated to use. I rather use Paypal instead. So, if I purchase a paypal module from you will I have the same problem like google checkout?

    No, they are completely different payment gateways. IMO, PayPal is easier to use and much more acceptable to end users.
