    My site is https://mnuet.com

My directory links suddenly don’t work. I can add/edit individual listings, but I can’t make them actually appear on my site. When I add the Directory to my active pages, the link goes to another page—not to the directory. I can’t figure out how to fix this. I don’t want to uninstall and reinstall because I would lose all the listings currently there.

Perhaps I screwed up the default settings somehow. Can someone please help me figure out what’s wrong and correct it? Thank you.

    Hi peikspeak,

    Sorry you’re having issues here.

Have you tried changing the directory or category slugs for BD from what they are to something else and then back? That has the effect of flushing the rewrite rules for your site, which may be causing a problem here. Try that and if that’s not working, please post a link to the category that is a problem so I can see specifically what is going on.

    Here’s the latest:
I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin twice, as well as deleted all the directory files and started over, and the issue still persists.

Here’s what’s happening—no matter what slugs I give to the root directory or the categories, the listings I create wind up taking on the URL of the most recent content post. For example, I’ve created a directory listing called “The Baroque Room.” I’ve placed a link in the top menu of my site. The link should take you to that listing. Instead, the URL reads as such:

    https://www.mnuet.com/2012/08/14/etude-launch/594/baroque-room-2/

Now, my most recent post on the site is this: https://www.mnuet.com/2012/08/14/etude-launch/

If I delete that post, the directory listing for “The Baroque Room” will magically take on the root URL of the next most recent post. I have no idea how this is happening and there’s nothing I can see on my end to change that.

Can you figure out what’s going on???

Well, it might help if we had admin credentials to your site. Can you send it via the contact form https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/contact ? Also, please link to this forum post, as I get a lot of email and would like to keep the context of our conversation in tact. ??
