Just waanted to clarify what was the recommended way of installing plugins after BPS Pro is installed.
Should I let BPS auto quarantine the new plugin and then restore it or disable BPS and then install the new plugins?

I tried the former but I seem to get into a situation whereby the new plugin files are “re-quarantined” once they are restored.

Chances are I’ve missed the obvious – it won’t be the first time ??

    Thanks

The Restore File option in Quarantine should be used when a procedural mistake was made or an accident occurred and you want to restore files that were quarantined. The correct ARQ procedural steps for installing plugins and updating plugins is:

    1. Turn off ARQ
    2. Install / update plugins or Themes
    3. Click the 4 Backup Files buttons (you only need to click the wp-content Backup Files button, but when in doubt click all 4)
    4. Turn ARQ back On.

Also you can do advanced options settings as well such as:

Temporarily exclude the entire plugin folder from being checked by ARQ.
Permanently exclude the entire plugin folder from being checked by ARQ.
Temporarily or permanently exclude specific plugin folders from being checked.
Temporarily or permanently exclude specific plugin files from being checked.

Usually it is just simpler to turn ARQ off and then back on, but if you wanted to avoid having to turn ARQ off even for a second you could use some of the advanced options methods above.
