    Hi again,
Just curious if BPS is compatible with File Monitor Plus?

I’ve not received scheduled scans or file change notices from File Monitor Plus since updating wordpress to 3.3.2. (Yeah, its been a while!) I’m able to run manual scans, but not scheduled ones. I figured it was definitely a problem with that plugin and haven’t really tried to troubleshoot it, but today while troubleshooting BPS update problems, I deactivated BPS and almost immediately got the first File Monitor Plus notice in months. It could just be a coincidence but I thought I would ask if you were aware of any conflict. Thanks for your feedback!

Yep no conflicts found with BPS BulletProof Modes activated. These are the results of running a manual scan. And most likely you got the alert because you changed your .htaccess file or changed some other files in your testing. You can always run a manual scan anytime to check if things are working with fmp.

Thanks for checking that out. Just to be clear, I’ve never had any trouble running manual scans with BPS enabled. In addition to manual scans, the file monitor plus plugin is supposed to send an alert any time a file changes, and it doesn’t do that for me anymore. The first alert I got (after many, many months of changing files) was in the few minutes I had BPS disabled. I have not received another alert since reactivating BPS, even though I have changed files. I think there is some connection here, but it could also easily be related to some other combination of things in how my site is setup.

Ok I will retest on a Live website and see what happens.

Test Environment – Live Site Test
Live site testing completed with BPS BulletProof Modes activated.
I set cron check to hourly – modified several files – received email alert after 1 hour – admin dashboard alert displayed correctly alerting that change in files was detected.

    Result:
BPS and File Monitor Plus work fine together and there are no conflicts.

    Thanks.
