Plugin bug with password protected wp-admin directory

Hi so we have implemented your Limit Login plugin. Also, we have placed password protection via htaccess on the wp-admin directory.

However I notice in mobile browsers, that if I access site.com/wp-admin the url first asks for user/password as it should (htaccess), however if I hit cancel the login page shows up and your plugin counts as one attempt already! Without entering the htaccess user/password.

Can you please confirm this bug and see if it can be fixed? Thanks!
