• Hide your admin bar for logged out users and you can no longer admin your own site. Can someone please tell me why have that option there at all?
Fresh install, minimal plugins and all I wanted to do was avoide the spammers till I figured a way to make it an invite only or invite from within the community only access.
Disabled the login in bar in BuddyPress options and my normal admin screen was unavailble until I FTP flushed BuddyPress.

It is an option you as Super Admin can choose or not. I disable it because I don’t want to see it when I’m logged out. You can always access your admin dashboard via https://yoursite.com/wp-admin/

At least in this fresh install, disabling the login for logged out users, causes my /wp-admin/ page to display a message stating no registrations instead of admin login boxes.
