[Plugin: BuddyPress Sitewide Featured Posts] Meta box not displaying enough

(Despite not being updated) this plugin appears to work. The selection box appears at the bottom of a post (entry backend). If this box is checked, that post appears in the featured post widget of the bp root blog.
