I found the solution just afew minutes ago in a mamboo-Forum.

Open bp-maps.php an delete the comment–marks in line 594 completly, so the ?>-Tag is in line 594.

I will check it out .Thanks for your help .

The activation is working now. But I still see only a static map of Honululu or a dynamic map of nothing ??

I have tried that and the option maps appeared under options .THere is another option prompting for a file “geo city ” .AM I need to download this or this ?

How did you do that ? Did you pay anything for registration to their site?

    Thank you !

No, there is a free database: https://www.maxmind.com/app/geolitecity
I downloaded it and unzipped it. Then i uploaded the GeoLiteCity.dat and saved the document-root in the options-menu.
    I generated an google-API-key.

Now i see a static-map of Honululu in the Members-Profil and this text “Show your address on a map ? ” But there is no link to accept.

    Current status:
    – dynamic map not displayed
    – geo-location not working
    – set marker not working

    correction:

The group-map is working. There are markers for every group-member in the right place.
But the profile map still have some problems.
Even the change of an member-location is not working.

I will check them .By the way the wordpress team are asking us to post buddypress related question at it’s Official support community .But they have not moved the plugins forum links to buddy press yet .

There, we are getting quick reply too .Here is the question I posted yesterday .Do you mind posting this issues there?

Has anyone else installed this plugin only to have it ruin the BP top horizontal navigation? I’ve tried upload the buddypress and theme files again from before this plugin was installed and that hasn’t fixed the problem (I’ve already deactivated and deleted the map plugin). I’m at the point of re-uploading my entire blog because I can’t find the problem, but I’m not sure this will fix the problem…
