[Plugin: BuddyPress Groups Extras] This group does not have a forum setup yet

    I have now gone through this twice and ended up with the same problem.

    I go through new buddypress install, set it all up and go to work customizing the content. I only use group forums (no site wide forums).

    Once I install BuddyPress Groups Extras I can no longer create new forums and I can not figure out how to back out. I simple must start from scratch again.

    Prior to installing BuddyPress Groups Extras I can create new forum topics in my groups. After installing BuddyPress Groups Extras every time I try to start a new forum topic I get the following error message:

    “This group does not have a forum setup yet.”

    I’ve uninstalled BuddyPress Groups Extras but still the same. I also continue to show more groups then I have. In other words, when I delete a group it doesn’t delete the reference to it on my groups tab.

    Is there anyway I can revert my database back to the state it was in before installing BuddyPress Groups Extras?

    Thank you for your work on this plugin. I am not sure if I found a bug or not but I feel very confident that the problem I’m having occurs after I install and begin to configure the plugin.

  • Hi, we are having this problem as well, is there any solution out there? is this a new bug?

    I just checked the code for buddypress group extras, and I on’t see anywhere that it’s modifying or creating any database tables…

    The plugin does NOT work with forum. It could produce some errors (already fixed in the latest version) but not forum-related. Please upgrade.
