[Plugin: BuddyPress Group Dice] Group dice – how to use

Have you followed the installation instructions?

I am seeking to have this not in the forums but in User created Groups? is there somewhere i can paste the code to have this appear in groups not the forums?

Any help would be appreciated as i would like my groups to be able to role play in the group and not need to create a forum.

Basically when a user joins a group, when they write something to the activity stream they can also append a dice roll? is that possible?

Hi there.

When you say within user created groups do you mean for it to be included as part of an activity update?

Having the dice roll with a message is perfectly possible. The reason I didn’t do it this way originally was due to concerns about players being able to edit the content of their messages if the dice roll didn’t go the way they wanted it to.

Both features would be easy to implement if I can get some time to work on the plugin. I’m not sure when I will get time though, I’m afraid :/ I’ll try to fit it in somehow…

Ahh that’s good reasoning! As for the dice roll in groups, yes I am hoping to allow users to use the groups activity stream to roll not just the forums. If you get a chance to implement this it would be awesome. If not no worries my users are really enjoying the plugin regardless.

I am however encountering an issue with the dice roll showing up on the groups activity stream. But its not showing the result, just that a roll was made. For the time being is there a quick fix to have the rolls not display on the groups activity alltogether, only be displayed in the forums?
