[Plugin: BuddyPress Album ] Warning/Fatal error when Activity stream is disabled

I am running WPMU 2.9.2, BuddyPress 1.2.1 and BP Album+0.1.7.
I have diabled Activity stream in BuddyPress. When uploading a picture I get these messages:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_has_activities() in /public_html/wp-content/plugins/bp-album/includes/bp-album-templatetags.php on line 403
The picture is uploaded and saved correctly with my choosen title. But the warnings are visible when viewing the pic, and the picture description is not.
Enabling the Activity stream makes everything work just fine, the picture description and edit links are back in place.
