    Same issue
    i have a WP 3.4.1

    Hi,

    Try: https://www.jamedowebsites.nl/buddypress-ajax-chat.zip.

I fixed the redirect bug. Also integrate the latest version of Ajax Chat (0.8.5a).

Tested on version 3.4.1 (buddypress 1.5.7)

NB install and configure buddypress before activate the plugin!

that solution loads the chat in the site, but keeps admin area out of access… seems a good plugin, but very buggy

He are a good plugin but need updates, if we comment the wp_redirect.php in bp-chat.php you can install …

It crashed my WP 3.4.2/BP 1.6.1/BBP 2.1.2 too. I’ll have a go with your version bassjobsen.

    I get
“Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in …/wp-content/plugins/buddypress-ajax-chat/bp-chat/chat/lib/class/CustomAJAXChat.php on line 216

Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in …/wp-content/plugins/buddypress-ajax-chat/bp-chat/chat/lib/class/CustomAJAXChat.php on line 240″

    Anyone?

With buddypress 1.6 don’t work. It’s possible resolve this bag?

I’m trying with WordPress 3.4.1, BuddyPress 1.5.7 and bassjobsen’s version of AJAX Chat, but I get a bunch of Undefined property: stdClass::$loggedin_user notices, and a fatal error wherever the chat should appear:

Call to a member function getName() on a non-object in /usr/share/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/buddypress-ajax-chat/bp-chat/chat/lib/class/AJAXChat.php on line 124

@bassjobsen, could you confirm you have the chat working with those versions please?

The undefined $loggedin_user notices were due to Ajax Chat being loaded before BuddyPress. Fixed by changing bp-chat-loader.php as per Checking For BuddyPress.

    Debug goes on…

@chemaz i tested it on 3.4.1 (buddypress 1.5.7) once. It works for me. I decided not to use it due to lack features like irc afterwards.
After the test and successful install i did not further debugging.

I you want to use this plugin. I think you need to fork it first. (https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/15379/how-to-fork-a-plugin).

If you share the latest version i will try to help you.
