• Hi, I’m using WP 2.7 and for some reason the plugin browser / installer has stopped working.

When I go mysite.com/wp-admin/plugin-install.php the page loads but I don’t get the list of tags I used to…

When I click on Featured I get the message: An unknown error occured.
When I click on popular I get the message: No plugins match your request.
When I click on Newest I get the message: An unknown error occured.
When I click on recently updated I get the message: No plugins match your request.

Any ideas? I have been running with no problems since 2.7 was released and in beta before that.

  • On top of the other issues that I have at the moment (impossible to publish or post images, permalink not working) I am also running into that one. I have no idea why…

I found this support topic last night when I was having the same problem but now it is fixed today. Is there something going on with the plugin site?

Experiencing exactly the same problem – havign had the plugin installer working pefectly. Any ideas or resolution?

I am also having this exact problem. The plugin installer was working perfectly and then suddenly stopped working. I am having no other issues.

Has any of you guys found a solution to this problem? I just got by plugin browser into the same state.

I’m seeing this same issue on one of my older servers. Still trying to track it down, but I did find a clue…. In my web server’s logs, I find:

[client 1.2.3.4] PHP Warning: http_build_query() expects at most 2 parameters, 3 given in /path/to/wp-includes/http.php on line 251, referer: https://www.mysite.com/wp-admin/plugin-install.php

Line 251 is exactly the same on both the working servers and the non-working one…

    UPDATE!

It seems that PHP 5.0x will give this error. Try upgrading to PHP 5.2x
