When the plugin is active, parts of the UI stop functioning. That includes the drop-downs on the back-end (e.g. screen options on the top-right of the screen), the add media button and collapsing-expanding of parts of the back-end such as on the Custom Fields and Revisions panes.

Perhaps it’s due to some conflict with another plugin that I use – didn’t investigate that. All I know is that when disabled, the UI resumes proper functionality.

Thanks much for this plugin. I find it of great value and have used it as part of streamlining the performance of my site. Hopefully, the issue can be resolved. If this isn’t a bug and there’s a way to remedy the above, please advise.

Did some additional tests. Suspected it had something to do with WP Super cache. However, that’s not necessarily the case as this issue doesn’t occur on a domain I use for development, and has the cache installed (and activated).

However, the development domain is a single-site installation, whereas the live domain is running on a multi-site installation. Possibly, de-referencing the lib functions in the latter case has something to do with it.

Haven’t tested what speed advantage (if any) the google libraries plugin achieves in a cached environment. I suspect it isn’t huge. For the time being I’m fine keeping it switched off. Would be happy if there’s a solution that would allow reactivating it.

I am having same issue with drop downs widgets etc and I have narrowed it down be deactivating all plugins one at a time and it is totally a Use Google Libraries issue

Further testing 3.8.1 and is conflicts with one of the most popular plugins

That’s pretty surprising (I usually run WP Super Cache as well). I’ll take a look at it when I have some time and see what’s going on.

Any chance I can get some detailed steps to reproduce it, since I’ve never seen it?

I’m running WordPress 4.0, with UGL 1.6.1 and WP Super Cache now, so I think this should be set. If not let me know.
