    Hi
Downloaded and enabled the plugin. Added excludes as homepage and login page, excluded homepage from preload. Forced preload of approx 16-20 pages.
Ok. So I then try to login as a non-admin user and it just goes to the login page again. So I login as admin and I go into the dashboard, do nothing, then visit site again. Go to what should be a cached page and it loads instantly – That’s good. BUT all my menu options disappear as if I am not logged in.
I am using Ultimate Member plugin to control menu visibility for logged-in/out users.
Disabled cache in dashboard, cleared cache. Everything went back to normal.

Did you enable the following option?

Logged-in-Users:[X] Don’t show the cached version for logged-in users

I don’t want to disable the cache for logged in users. The users need to be logged in to see any of the pages. If I disaable the cache, then I might as well uninstall it as I get no performance improvement. Strange suggestion!

I do want to exclude certain pages from being cached however. Thhis is the feature that seems to be broken, as it does not respect the menu visibility options or redirects.

    but you should enable it.

I enabled it. The issue went away but as I expected, there is no measurable performance improvement as the only page logged out users see is the login page. I guess the plugin is not suitable for membership sites.

@mpbaweb, please try other cache plugins. You will get the same issue.

I agree. W3 Total Cache broke the whole site and I had to use the panic key to get back in and disable it. Gator cache seems to offer membership site caching in the ‘Pro’ version, but have not tried this.
You may as well close this issue.
Please consider adding membership site support in future development. Should be pretty simple to cache pages except the ones the user specifies. I thought I could achieve this with your ‘excludes’ function but it doesn’t work properly because you have this thing about logged in / not logged in which I don’t care about when I am making specific excludes. I just want to cache all except specific pages, regardless of whether the user is logged in or not. Can’t be hard
