    No. The plugin allows subgroups to have different members from their parents, and makes these memberships distinct on purpose.

    Some people have asked for this for a long time, but it also conflicts with a number of ways people want to use hierarchies, so it won’t be a part of the plugin.

    However, I have written a short post that describes the hows and whys, along with sample code for implementing this yourself.

    I’ll check out the link.

    In the plugin FAQ, I saw that you have said that the opposite of what I am asking is not available in the plugin.

    You are right – people may use hierarchical groups differently. So, it would be great if you could possibly provide this as an option.
