  • Yes, I does. I’ve noticed as well. Did you resolve this?

    Had to use something else.

    Three options
1: The plugin “Welcome Pack” allows you to erase the activation link in that email
( If you recently upgraded BP then you’ll have to wait for the next version since the developer is updating it for that release bc the last BP 1.2.7 broke it) . Then you can Manually Activate . I had header conflict with some themes except Custom Community.

2: Having Admin create users and disabling registrations stops the activation email.
( Registration on a separate site reduces the damage affect of hackers anyway)

3: Zachary has an intensive hack. This issue is still on BP. @vanmurray had also been working on this.

I did see that Welcome pack and thought about checking it out. Your saying you can replace the “BP Disable Activation” with the the welcome pack and it can be set to eliminate email verification as well?

    Thanks for the response.

p.s. my theme is a heavily modified from the default. Any compatibility reports there?

Yes you can eliminate email verification, I worked well before I upgraded. The two devs team up on it. I had header issues with the default bp theme some months ago but there’s supposed to be a BP mod for Manual Approve by Vanmurray. The link is now broken , please let me know if you find it. There’s also this suggested to be this way by @hlna. Can’t remember why I’m not using it.

Alright thanks. Always something to test. Never ending it is. ?? I’ll be sure to update with any new information.

To clarify, once you stop activation by user email you still have to activate the account somehow, option 1 is a combo. Bp disable activation won’t be needed and you can keep ‘confirm user registration’ or anything like that.

    Yeh I know, Thanks.
