[Plugin: BP Checkins] mobile questions

    Hi again imath.
    My users have started to request mobile uploading of images. the way I have got it to work is (on android) to choose upload image > choose camera > take picture > insert.

    However, if I try to upload the picture from my gallery on my phone I keep receiving “Please select an image file only.”. Is this due to my android browser mucking it up, not adding the link in the file-upload correctly?
    It seem to think there is not a file to upload.

    Hi @neocreo,

    there’s an ajax file upload using the HTML5 File/File Reader API. It’s not available on all browsers unfortunately.
    Considering mobile, as the iPhone restricts uploads till iOs 6, i chose to have a fallback on allowing the user to copy / paste a link to his image if the browser doesn’t support this API.

    If you try with chrome and Safari 6, you’ll see file upload is ok.

    Having issues with the checkin feature when on mobile site. Click the icon to detect or list my location and all I see is a little progression circle that stops in mid process. Have I done something wrong? See site here https://primewebdesigns.net/social Works fine on desktop, just not on Samsung Note.
