Is it possible to set working hours to dictate when the resource is fully booked, rather than the time? For example if using booking calendar for a service, two clients could book, one from 8am-1pm and then one from 2pm-9pm but the calendar may appear partially booked, although working hours might be from 8am-9pm, and it might take an hour to drive between jobs. Could admin have a choice to not use the start times but just to set the day as fully booked, without the times being changed on the customer’s side? Is starttime compulsory in the backend when Adding booking if it’s being used on the frontend?

so to put it more simply – can admin set any particular day to show as “fully booked” as and when they decide, whether or not that day has a booking, and without adding a booking? ??

For example to define a holiday period, or days not available when there are no bookings.

    Hello,
Probably you are need to check the Business Large version.
At the Booking Calendar Business Large version is possible to set the capacity of the booking resource, it’s mean that your visitors can make the several reservations per the same date, in other words, the date(s) in calendar will be available until lumber of reservations per these full dates is less than capacity of the booking resource. Please note, if you will use the timeslot selection for the booking resource with capacity higher than one, so then this timeslot will be simply record as a data into DB according this booking, but will not impact to the time availability.
Please read the Booking Calendar version overview here

Please read more info about the booking resources and how to configure them here

You can test Booking Calendar live demos at this page to be sure in functionality and do not have misunderstanding.
