[Plugin: Black Studio TinyMCE Widget] Works but not with shortcode generator

    Hey there Marco,

    Love the plugin, one of the best I ve seen so far. The only problem that I have is that it dont work with my paid cincopa subscription. I wanted to add some text before i inserted a music playlist and the cincopa code didn’t work. When I tried the code on the a regular page, things work fine.

    I was hoping it was just the music playlist so I tried to upload a picture and got the same results.

    Is there anything you can do to fix this issue?

    Please could you copy & paste here the code you are trying to insert inside the widget? (remove identification information embedded in the code, if any).

    Same here, no shortcode support. Any progress on this one?

    Hello malawimama and charlietech,
    Black Studio TinyMCE Widget actually supports shortcodes in widget’s text, but unfortunately the “shortcodes” you mentioned, which are provided by the HTML5 MP3 Player with Playlist plugin and Cincopa WordPress plugin, they are not real shortcodes (as intended in WordPress Codex).
    I looked at the source code of both plugins and I saw that the substitution of the “shortcodes” is not made using standard WordPress shortcode API, but with filters applied to the_content, using regex replacements. That means that it only works on content of posts/pages and not on other texts.
    I would suggest to contact the authors of those plugins and try to convince them that it would be better to implement the text substitutions with real WordPress shortcodes.
