[Plugin: BigMailChimp] Fatal Error

Hi Linda… We just installed this on our site and it totally downed up. We can’t even get into the backend of wordpress – everything is gone including our flavicon. We are not technical people so we are in a mini panic as to how to get this site back up. I assume we had the same problem as you. How did you recover it?

Hi McClelm – I didn’t mess with it – don’t have time or the patience these days with getting my site up & running LOL – uninstalled & used this one

Linda – Thanks so much for your quick response and for the link to the other plugin for mailchimp. We are going to give it a try. We were able to get the site back up by going in and deleting the ‘bad’ plugin.

I just got the same fatal error says:

Fatal error: Class ‘MCFormWidget’ not found in /home/city8500/public_html/wordpress/wp-includes/widgets.php on line 324

I hope i didnt just lose the entire site….

HELP PLEASE

Go into your ftp (where you upload your files to your host) or go into your cpanel with your host & delete the plugin or put a _ (underscore) in front of the folder which will disable it.

As a sole internet site owner I know what it’s like to be moving around the internet looking for apps & plugins to make my life easier, the right plugin is like getting an employee for free! ?? But the wrong plugin can wreck havoc when you’re new & don’t know what to do next except search, search, search. As soon as one I found gets all the bugs out of it I’m going to post all the glorious plugins I’ve found that do work & help put wordpress on autopilot as much as possible ??
