• I believe that I got hacked,
As Soon as I tried logging in with the BackEnd Hidden, using my Custom Word to replace wp-admin, I get file not found.
    1. I tried .com/admin####### with my secret Number AND NO HELP.
    It still locked me out
    2. So, I deleted the .htaccess file and replaced it with a Basic Standard .htaccess file.
I then Deleted the Plugin, and then I was able to login by using, .com/admin
BUT IF I USE wp-admin I get File not found. AND THAT IS WITH THE PLUGIN DELETED.

Can someone tell me what is happening??????? PLEASE.

Now, when I log back in with the plugin deleted, and I go to download a brand new plugin, and as soon as I activate the plugin, IT THROWS ME RIGHT OUT OF MY WEBSITE, AND UNABLE TO LOG BACK IN.

How do i solve this issue please.

  • When you say it throws you right out does this mean you are being redirected to your homepage? This would be due to away_mode restrictions. You can reset all options by deleting the bit51_bwps option from the options table in your database.

I have deleted the old plugin, and then I have downloaded a new plugin. As soon as I have activated the plugin, It throws me out of the Admin, and I am in the Home Page of the site. And there is no way for me to log back in. If I enter the /admin or wp-admin or the secret name, it will not work. Even if I use the admin##### Which the #### is the secret Name it will not let me back in.

I can confirm, happens for me as well – wp admin (the admin user) and facebook login stopped working. I have no idea when – it worked 3 months ago…

is this normal? for no help on this?

@hcri50 just deleting the plugin folder without uninstalling the plugin will preserve the settings from before. You can manually delete the settings by deleting “bwps_bit51” from the options table in your database.

@xorred 3 months ago can mean a LOT. In the case of facebook the API has changed and many facebook plugins have stopped functioning as desired. In the case of wp-admin, are you getting an error message?

no error messages. As soon as better wordpress security is disabled, all plugins / fb logins / normal logins work just fine. Otherwise, it always says “failed login” or something like that – and after a few attempts, of course, locks out the user as told in the settings.
