[Plugin: Better WP Security] feature request: show expired lockouts

  • under “Old Data” in “View Logs”, you’ll see things like “Your database contains 5 bad login entries”, etc. but the expired entries for bad logins, 404 errors, and lockouts aren’t listed.

    it seems to me that listing all the expired entries would be good, since most administrators may not be able to login frequently enough to see the active entries.

    just a thought.

  • I would like to second this feature request.

    For bad logins, ideally it would be great to see the userid attempted and the IP (and maybe browser info, to try to identify bots?).

    For 404 errors, I would definitely like to see the IP for each attempt. I see some common 404 errors that look to be obvious backdoor malware attempts – if I spot them I could blacklist the IP immediately rather than wait for them to hit my 404 attempt limit.

    And expired temp lockouts would be good to see so that I can easily add them to my block list without going through old emails … ideally a “permanently block this IP” button for the display would be great!

    Just a few more thoughts…

    I agree 100%! I need the IP addy of the offender if for no other reason than to ban the IP range.

    Totally agree with Kevin and Valet. IP would be a really helpful in some cases!
