  • No, it is currently an all or nothing feature. I may try to make it role specific in the future but I don’t have any timeframe on such a feature.

I thought the away mode was so others (not admin) could not login so I can do maintenance. Is there away to, um, “undo” the away mode so I can get back in as the admin?

nevermind, I’ve done a db restore, all is well.

    Hi Page

For future, as you’ve noticed, the feature is for all users. You can manually turn it off if you’re good with the database by changing the “am_enabled” to 0 in the settings array for the plugin (I will be adding a “Quick off” option for situations such as yours in the future.

    hi,

im locked out after not understanding the time facility in the ‘away mode’. the only way i can login is to delete the plugin but I want to use it (or wait another 6 hours when i should be in bed)

“am_enabled” is set to 0 in the php, but that hasnt disabled it. where do i make the changes to disable time limited logins?

    thanks in advance

if am_enabled is 0 it shouldn’t work unless the query is somehow cached (ie you have db query caching turned on). You can also overide by deleting bwps_awaymode from the options table.
