• Hi Nicolas,

    I just installed your plugin and was very impressed since it actually recognized the custom posts and ads through the admin settings panel in the classified theme that I’m using, although when I test drive it on the front end, I always end up with “No related content found” despite checking all the custom fields in the settings.

    post  page  ad_listing
    category  post_tag  post_format  ad_cat  ad_tag

    I’m on WP 3.1 latest update and using a Premium theme.

    Same here, I have tweaked a lot of the settings. Just doesn’t seem to work as it only lists returns from the same contributer.

    I’d pool some resources to have my dev. look at this if any is interested …

    Did you try the analyze tag yet? It’s usage is described in the readme.txt.

    No I haven’t and I just realized that the plugin actually worked but only under the main Blog posts and not the custom posts and custom categories, I’ll try the Analyze tag attempt and update you with the outcome.

    Ah, I don’t check the forums here regularly. I’m glad you found the post ?? I’ll try to improve that in the future though.

    Totally understandable Nicolas, hence why I pointed Cilantro in the right direction, as you can see, we both have the exact same issue since we’re using the same theme, it’s all about those custom_posts and taxonomies that were introduced in the theme blocking current plug-ins from seeing them and we’re stuck searching the web for compatible plugins.

    Anyone have any luck with this one yet? I tried last month and haven’t had time to return to it. One that worked well prior to my theme’s upgrade to custom post-types was Similar Posts.

    @nkuttler:
    I has been change from YARPP to Better Related Plugin because YARPP plugin doesn’t support related Custom Post Type.

    It’s awesome, But in Better Related Plugin i found a problem. And i have a question.
    Can i exclude some certain category from being shown on The Related ?
    What code should i write on single.php ?

    I’m newbies, and cannot speak english well.
    Thanks for your help.

    I’m confirming this plugin WORKS with custom posts and its actually smart, picks up common tags and categories, the thing is, it all depends on how YOU setup your posts and tags, GOOD JOB Nicolas!
