Plugin be deactivated automatically and setting are gone

    Hi,

    I am maintaining a multisite WP. The designers told me that this plug-in is the one they can find to fit their needs the most. However they noticed that this plug-in would be deactivated from time to time and when they activate it back again the settings in widget area were all been gone. I’ve searched the support forum and there’s no question asked like this one so the problem must be my environment. I also tried deactivating all other plug-ins and activate them one by one but can’t recreate the problem.

    I know the information I provide here is far from enough for you to determine the cause. I am only hoping that if you could shed some light on this for me to do further investigation that would be great.

    Hi Lisalong,

    It sounds like there may be something going on with your server environment. The plugins that are active are controlled by a setting in the database. If you database is reverting to an earlier time it may explain what is happening.

    I have seen widgets change when changing themes but this would not explain why plugins are deactivating automatically.

    I’m sorry I can’t be more help. Without actually logging into your server and monitoring the database I don’t have a definitive answer. I recommend taking a look at any caching you may have and/or installing an admin monitoring plugin to rule any use actions which may be causing this.
