[Plugin: bbPress] Freshness displays only days, not years, months

I’m using latest version of the plugin (2.0.2). Also tried the latest branch revision (2.1).

I’ve imported all my former bbpress 1.x standalone forums into bbpress 2.x using the built in importer. Everything went smooth, I have all my forums and users back.

However there’s a glitch in the way freshness is displayed for replies and forums/topics last update time.

Instead of human readable format such as “last updated $years ago” or “last updated $weeks ago”… I get only either $days, $hours or $minutes. Very old replies or topics sometimes show up as “last updated 485 days ago” or “283 days” ago… you get the idea. I don’t get output like “updated 2 years ago” or updated “2 months ago”. After hours or minutes I get days only, no matter how many are passed.

How to fix this? Or how to modify my custom template files to show the date in standard format instead of freshness? (ie last updated 12th april 2010) instead (2 years something ago… in my case that would be displayed as 400 days ago or something, which is fugly)
