Hey guys, has this issue been solved? I get the same message of jpwchin (Upload to DropBox now started… ) with the first (grey) progress bar stuck at 60% and the second one (yellow) at 1%.
I use WP 3.4.2 Multisite, BackWPup 2.1.16 and the website is all SSL.
    Thanks a lot!

I resolved the issue by changing the backup settings to ignore certain uploads, thus reducing the file size of the backup. It’s not an adequate fix, because the whole site is not being backed up, but at least some of it is.

Thanks jpwchin, I was afraid you were gonna say that! ??
I’d feel safer if I could programmatically back up the whole thing but I’ll try what you suggested and see what happens.
The funny thing is that, even with the back up process apparently stuck (60% and 1% as I explained above), the corresponding log file says that it is OK… I should try to restore the backup and see if it was really completed even if the process appeared on the dashboard to be stuck in the middle of something, but I’m afraid to break everything!
    Cheers

I’m also having this issue. Really strange because I was using the old version and it was working fine.

But today after updating W3 total cache plugin, I got the stalling. So then I went ahead and updated BackWpup thinking that might actually help…but same issue persists.

And I excluded W3 from backup file but no change. Any idea what else I can uncheck to help it finish? Perhaps the W3 update has some bugs conflicting as well? Stumped :-/

And I tried creating a new Dropbox backup folder (that has helped with some uploading issues in the past) and it said couldn’t authenticate Dropbox token? Which is also weird because it is authenticated with my other job, and I still have plenty of available space through Dropbox.

FYI, I just deactivated W3 Cache plugin and it went through, so looks like there is something with that update conflicting with BackWpup….

I will do some test again with it ….

I have the same problem. Upload to Dropbox now started… but never ends.

I do not use the W3 Cache plugin, but while authenticating with Dropbox I noticed I had to deactivate Tweetily plugin. Else it was not possible to connect.

I have now deactivated the Dropbox part… I hope you can find a solution!

Same problem for me (I also don’t use the W3 Cache plugin)

I guess it’s a problem with cron jobs. Tweetily uses it, W3 Cache uses it, and BackWPup…

Tweetily catches i think all oAuth atentikations and not only that for that Plugin. But the upload works on my test. It throws massages to in debug mode.

Is ther a error massage in php error log ?

With BackWPup, I authenticate with Dropbox…
    – the plugin goes to the Dropbox site
    – I have to approve the connection between BackWPup and Dropbox manually
    – Then Dropbox re-directs to my site… with the wrong URL.
    – Error

It redirects to the admin of my WordPress, were a part of the url refers to Tweetily and a part to BackWPup plugin. This url can of course not be found.

Maybe the redirect url is wrong in the first place (before authenticating)… when I deactivate Tweetily then it is possible to authenticate succesfully. However, the uploading part to Dropbox does still not work.

The first i can reproduce and must fixed by Tweetily.

In moment i have no idea why the upload not works.

Any update? mine still doesn’t work
