• Hello:
I fill in all the information for dropbox, sugarsync, or amazon. It is authorized/verified/accepted. I then click SAVE, and it says it has saved.
I scroll down to where I just entered all that backup destination information, and it has all been erased. Nothing there.
And if try to run the backup, no destination defined.
I am using Firefox or Chrome.
    I have a multisite install.
I have tried disabling most plugins, nothing works.
    Any ideas please?
    Thank You.

  • @titush, have you got a testing site? I agree with you, it would not be wise to do some testing on a busy website. I have a testing site just for actions like these. When I come across a problem I use my testing site.

    Kind regards

I am also having this same problem. Is this designed to work with WP Super Cache running?

What’s odd is that the first day that I set this up, I was able to put in and authenticate my AWS settings and then I ran the job and it would no longer save after that point.

Today I tried using a local directory and it just won’t save.

It also won’t save my preferences for what to back up.

When I delete the jobs, my new job as all the tables selected and looks like it will work, but then I click Save and it loses many of the table selections and won’t remember my “Full Path to folder for Backup Files:”

Similar problem. Plugin won’t to save my hostname (FTP backup) but save username and password. So I can’t done backup on my own server.

    Plugin 2.1.17
    WP 3.4.2

    Any advice please?

@stalker-poznan than i must have a look at your site, because i don’t have the problem.

    My website is here

    This is how it’s looks

Even if I write hostname and click ‘save changes’, plugin didn’t remember hostname and I have an error during backup to ftp.

    1. try to sending backup file to a FTP Server…

the http is not allowed in hostname. The hostname is only the domain name or IP. With Browser did u use ? Or did you have installed a security Plugin ?

Thanks Daniel! Works fine. Host name = domain. Thats all.

[I’m using the newest Chrome. No security plugin.]

+1 same problem as everyone else. Trying to add a job for s3, but saving the job losses the settings.

I just installed BackWPup and am getting this same problem of settings not being saved.
    WP 3.4.2
    BackWPup 2.1.17
The install looks fine. I can create a job and it runs. But the settings I make are not being saved so the job fails.

    I created a new job.
    In the section:
    Backup Folder
    In the field:
Full Path to folder for Backup Files:
    I enter:
    /home/sugarmtn/public_html/
I press Save Changes in the Job Type section but the changes are not saved.

When the job runs I get the error:
No destination defineid for backup!!! Please correct job settings
    and then an error:
Zip archive create error: PCLZIP_ERR_MISSING_FILE (-4) : File ‘/home/sugarmtn/public_html/wp-content/plugins/si-captcha-for-wordpress/captcha/temp/1X1UHWSMHns4nkzp.php’ does not exist

    and then a warning:
filesize() [function.filesize]: stat failed for /home/sugarmtn/public_html/wp-content/plugins/backwpup/tmp/backwpup_1_2013-01-13_11-00-20.zip

When I FTP to my server and check the backup file is not there.

    Here is a log output:

    /home/sugarmtn/public_html/
remove it. it is not a good idea.

The path is only to save BAckups localy on the server. Pelase use one like

    /home/sugarmtn/public_html/Backups

I have changed my path as suggested and am not getting that error any more and the settings are saving. I am now getting an out of memory error. I will start a fresh ticket for that. Thank you. -Walter
