Hello, my site was recently hacked and we are trying to clean up the backup copies (which likely contain injected files) that we created using BackUpWordPress. My hosting company is trying to clean the files and they are unable to open the .zip files in order to do so. Does anyone have recommendations as to how to open these files and/or clean these backups?

    Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Why are they unable to unzip them?

Could you send one of the zips to [email protected] so we can have a look?

Thanks for replying, Tom. I just sent you the file via YouSendIt because it exceeds the maximum file attachment size for Gmail.

Also, here is a screenshot of the e-mail that my hosting provider sent me, with the error code they received when they tried to open one of the files, https://screencast.com/t/zW0tQDJPs. I included this is in my e-mail, but just wanted to post it here in case it didn’t go through.

Any help is appreciated, thanks for your time.
