[Plugin: BackUpWordPress] automatic backup only sometimes

    Hi, i am using v 1.6.8 and i am only getting the automatic backups only intermittently. Using ‘back up now’ will work as a manual backup.
    I have tried the cron statement in wp-config, and tried altering the number of backups saved, but even when i specify 8 backups to save, it will sit at 6 or 7 until i manually hit the button. What is odd, is that sometimes the automatic backup will fire as it should.
    I like this simple backup plugin and will continue to use it manually, but the auto feature would be nice.

    I like BackUpWordPress too, it’s simple and easy. But unfortunately, it can’t backup as scheduled correctly on my computer. I get several backups in a day, no matter I choose daily or weekly.

    For example, I set it to weekly auto backup and to keep the last 14 backups, but I get all the 14 backups on 22 June 2012 with the time: 1:33 am, 1:24 am, 1:21 am, 1:20 am, 1:03 am, 1:00 am, 12:54 am, 12:51 am, 12:40 am, 12:38 am, 12:33 am, 12:25 am, 12:24 am, 12:21 am.

    There must be some bugs in the scheduling (auto) backup feature. Hope someone can help to fix it soon.

    Hi Handoko Zhang,

    Could you try de-activating and then re-activating the plugin, it sounds like you might have multiple schedules somehow. Let me know If that doesn’t resolve the issue.

    For the auto backups to work someone has to visit your site to trigger the backup, if your site doesn’t have anyone visit it on a particular day then you won’t get a backup for that day.

    The schedule now is working correctly by de-activating and re-activating the plugin. Thanks.
