The “force backup” seems to work fine, but a few things have me concerned. I updated the parameters to backup every two days, saved the settings and got the “Parameters have been updated successfully!” message.

    Great, right?

However, when I returned to the “Backup Page” it still says: “An automatic backup will be launched in 7 days.” I cleared my browser cache repeatedly with no change, then I logged out and tried logging in with a new browser, and it still says “An automatic backup will be launched in 7 days.”

I also don’t see any instructions on how to restore from the back up files?

Update: it’s now showing the proper interval.

Still would like to read some “restore from backup” instructions, though.

Ok, for the first bug, it is just a “display bug”. Actually you just have to reload the page and you will see 2…

To restore, just do the following :
    – unzip the backup
    – replace the ‘plugins’ folder (in the wp-content folder) with the one
    in the archive
    – replace the ‘themes’ folder (in the wp-content folder) with the one
    in the archive
    – replace the ‘uploads’ folder (in the wp-content folder) with the one
    in the archive
    – replace the wp-config.php (at the root of your wordpress repository)
with the one in the sedlex/backup-scheduler
    – import the sql file in your database (you should probably save your
    database first)

I will modify the plugin to add the following

    Thanks, Sed Lex. Much appreciated.

You might also include notes about what do with “multiple-file backups” too. My backup is actually six 5mb files; not just one zip file.

    Indeed !
Actually the multiple files (zip, z01, z02, etc.) should be put in a same folder and zip program (such as winzip, winrar, …) will do the job for you if you double click on the zip one.

Be sure to remove the added extension if you have configured one !

Here it is with the new version !
