  • Do you have enough free space?

I have plenty of free space on the server; over 100 Gigs.

Please try version 2.1.3 of the plugin and see if it fixes your issue.

    (@cattivodes)

no – it didn’t work, but it created a different error:

Environment: Backup 2.1; WordPress 3.4.1; PHP 5.3.13; SAPI apache2handler; OS Linux; ZIP false; CURL 7.24.0; Time limit 120s; Memory limit 32M
    Attempting to dump database.
The database dump was completed successfully in 11.054 seconds.
    Attempting to create archive ‘Visual-Photo-Guide-m7zaku.zip’.
    PCLZIP_ERR_INVALID_PARAMETER (-3) : Invalid variable type ‘object’ for p_filelist

Any reason for you not running the latest version of the plugin?

    Thread Starter cattivodes

    (@cattivodes)

I am using the latest version:

    Backup
    Settings | Deactivate
Back up your WordPress website to Google Drive.

    Version 2.1.3 | By Sorin Iclanzan |

    Alright, my bad.

Could you try removing the plugin and then install a fresh version 2.1.3? See if that changes anything.

ok – deleted and reinstalled, now getting this:

Environment: Backup 2.1.3; WordPress 3.4.1; PHP 5.3.13; SAPI apache2handler; OS Linux; ZIP false; CURL 7.24.0; Time limit 120s; Memory limit 32M
    Attempting to dump database.
The database dump was completed successfully in 9.768 seconds.
    Attempting to create archive ‘Visual-Photo-Guide-m81k4c.zip’.
    /home/vpg/public_html/wp-content/plugins/photo-dropper/D:/web/visualphotoguide.com/www/ is not a directory.

Well, now we have a more meaningful error message.

So, what’s up with that directory that’s failing? Why is there a D: inside the path?

    Thread Starter cattivodes

    (@cattivodes)

Ok – got rid of that directory.
This time, I got no error message, but it seemed to stop at:

2012-07-31 16:39:56 NOTICE Attempting to create archive ‘Visual-Photo-Guide-m81lea.zip’.

also – it is still showing:
    Current date and time:
    July 31, 2012 8:46 pm
    Most recent backup:
    never

    OK,

You need to check the PHP error log to see what is wrong now, but since there is no error message displayed by the backup process my guess is PHP ran out of memory. The 32 MB might not be enough. If you have large files (> 30MB) then this is what is probably causing PHP to run out of memory.

not getting any errors. Everything seems to be working fine – except it will not go to my google drive.
