[Plugin: AZIndex] AZindex to list/sort Category names only without posts

  • I would like to thank you first for this nice plugin.

    I was wondering how can I set it up in order for the output to be an alphabetized list for Category names ONLY (without the posts).

    I may have the same question.

    I would like to use this plugin to show a Category list. This is easy to setup, but the problem is, the categories names are repeated for each post.

    I need something similar to the archive page, where the posts that share the same category are reunited below the same category name:
    Cat.1 [3 posts]
    Cat.2 [13 posts]
    …
    And then, clicking on a category name, a list of the post belonging to that particular Category will show up.

    Instead, what happens with the AZIndex plugin is:
    Cat.1 (post)
    Cat.1 (post)
    Cat.1 (post)

    Cat.2 (post)
    Cat.2 (post)
    Cat.2 (post)
    Cat.2 (post)
    …

    which is something of little use.

    Is there a solution for this?
