    Hi there,

We have had a number of sites where your Plugin has just appeared and automatically shown an Ad button to https://digiartia.com/ across all site pages.

Are you aware of what could have caused this at all? As nobody manually added this plugin or ad themselves.

    Many thanks for your help,
    Tonya

    Hi Tonya,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Advanced Ads is incapable of installing itself, nor comes with pre-defined ad units.

I am also not aware of issues like auto-install plugin in any WordPress website without logged-in user activity. If you did not install the plugin, then please change your login details.

To be able to may say more about this, please send an Advanced Ads export file containing your ads, placements, and setting to our support email, referencing this thread. Thank you.

    Best regards,
    Henning

    Hi Henning,

Thank you for this, that’s really helpful, I have now submitted that information via your support form. We have now been able to trace this same occurrence across around 20+ sites, all different clients/servers, so really really weird!

    Many thanks for your help,
    Tonya

    Hi Tonya,

Thanks for sending in the export file.

It looks that someone connected to the advertised website gained access to your page, installed, and misused the Advanced Ads plugin to distribute their spam on your pages.

If someone with a similar problem find this, please ensure your WordPress is up-to-date and all user accounts are verified and changing their password.

In addition, please see this WordPress FAQ about this topic.

    Best regards,
    Henning
