[Plugin: AutoChimp] No options page anymore??

  • Not sure how but we no longer have an options page anymore. The one where you can input your API for MailChimp. This was about mid December. Have tried to deactivate then reactivate, deactivate, delete, reinstall and none of that has worked.
    On the installed plugins list it shows up but we no longer have the screen for the option page that looks like the screen shot from here.

    Anyone else ever have this problem?

    I have done that. It use to be under the General settings tab at the very bottom of that if I remember right. Now there is nothing. Even tried to install the latest update and the options page just doesn’t show up.
    If anyone can tell which file gets changed for that to show up I could probably fix it. But it comes with no install instructions.

    Hmm, it sounds like you used to have a Settings menu for AutoChimp, but then you updated to the latest version and now there’s nothing? This was a problem with older versions of WordPress; the solution was to upgrade to 3.x. If you’ve already done that, then try downloading archived versions of AutoChimp and installing them, working backwards until you get the menu. Then you’ll know what version it was broken.

    There are no installation instructions because that concept is antiquated with new versions of WordPress (somewhere around 2.7?) when plugin installation was made available within the admin panel and basically became a one-click job. It used to be you had to FTP the files up manually. Now, everything is so standardized that installation instructions are only necessary for complex plugins.

    No. The settings screen went bye bye about mid December. No idea how or why and we haven’t been able to get them back since. But we are going to upgrade WP and will see if that helps.

    If you’re on a version older than 3.0, then it will definitely help. ??
