The plugin works for me in the environment below.

    • WordPress 3.4.2
    • Twenty Eleven 1.4
    • Auto ThickBox Plus 1.7
    • W3 Total Cache 0.9.2.4

See FAQ page, I think it’s helpful for you.

Auto ThickBox Plus does not work

Most likely, some sort of JavaScript error has occurred in your blog. Please make sure that you can see any messages (errors/warnings) in browser console.

With minify disabled or enabled? Are you excluding the ThickBox JavaScrips from W3TC?
I’ve already looked at the FAQ page. The issue is not solved by any of the suggestions, the issue is minify on W3TC breaking the script.

My W3TC settings are as follows.

    • Page Cache: Enable
    • Minify: Enable
    • Minify mode: Auto
    • Minify Cache Method: Disk
    • HTML minifier: Default
    • JS minifier: JSMin (default)
    • CSS minifier: Default
    • Database Cache: Enable
    • Object Cache: Enable
    • Browser Cache: Enable

    And in “Minify” settings page,

    • JS minify settings: Enable (checked)
    • CSS minify settings: Enable (checked)

Then my site loads only cached JS and CSS files that are minified and combined with a name such as “1ab23c45.d67890”. Of course, ThickBox resources are contained in cached files.

If there is no JavaScript error in your site, I need more information about your site to solve the issue. Can you show me your site URL? If you cannot, paste the source code of <link>, <script>, <style> and <a> tags related to ThickBox.

Thanks for all your help but for now I’ve just disabled minify.
