  • @fullbozman: Unlike version 1.x of the player, v2.0 requires that your theme call <?php wp_head() ?> — this was the problem for me. Just make sure that your header.php file has that bit of code somewhere between <head> and </head>

If that doesn’t work, open up functions.php. Start commenting out stuff to ensure that there isn’t a conflict. Same with any JavaScript in any the theme. Also make sure style.css isn’t using any of the same id’s or classes that the plugin uses.

    Good luck!

@taylorde : I’ve finally found the problem…It was an incompatibility between the AudioPlayer plugin and the Widget “Last comments”…

    Very strange.

    Anyways, thanks for you help

    hey there,

i installed the audio player 1.2.3 on my blog: https://musicblog.6x.to/
and on the main page the player runs well but when i select the category where i posted the song, the player disappears.

I tried the Beta 2.6 but it didn’t help me out. It was even worse, i couldn’t edit the Audio Player in the settings because it said that files were not existing even though i installed it correctly.

So i installed the 1.2.3 again and i hope you guys can help me.

    hi martin.
1st off awesome little player – thank you!

i do have a small problem though..

im using the latest standalone version.
player works fine in FF3 and chrome however doesnt display in in IE7.
I just get the text “Alternative content” diplayed.

ive been through all 11 pages and although there are people with IE7 issues i can’t seem to see the resolution to my problem.

    this is the file:

    thanks.

Hey. I posted a problem earlier but got no response… So here it is again (quote):

Hey, I’ll open again by saying – this plugin is awesome!
Thank God Flash 10 does indeed solve the over-15-players-cause-endless-buffering bug!

I do have a question though… I’ve noticed that the files keep being loaded even when I hit the pause button. Is there any way to make the player stop loading the file after being paused?

    Thanks a lot! ??

I’m running audio player 2.0b6 in stand alone mode and having problems with garbled mp3 playback with Flash 10. Here’s a sample URL of the garbled playback with Flash 10:
    https://findinggrace.com/message-archive/Kaleo/CalledToServe/audio

It appears to either be specific to just some certain MP3 file formats or with streamed MP3 files from remote URLs. The following examples play fine for me:
    https://wpaudioplayer.com/whatsnew
    https://findinggrace.com/message-archive/ThatMemoryThing/ThatMemoryThing/audio

    Any ideas?

I have observed exactly the same problem as billglick. After upgrading to Flash 10, it all stutters, pitch bends, and farts. Adobe seems to have broken it.

Edit: It seems to only do on only my 48khz sample rate MP3 files, not the 44Khz ones… if that’s any help.

    Any they are all VBR

I would post them here but they are X rated.

My problems happen with the 48kHz MP3 files as well, but mine aren’t VBR.

I’m experiencing the same issue in IE 6 and 7 that onlyonlyme is having.

The player works fine in FF3, however doesn’t display it in IE.

I just get the text “Alternative content” displayed. I’m using 2.0 beta 6 in standalone mode.

    Any suggestions?

    Greetings,

I’m using the stand alone version 2.0 and it works perfectly in IE 7, yet in Firefox v2 & 3 and Safari, the stop another currently streaming player when launching a new player on the same page function does not work, in that all selected players stream / play simultaneously. I saw one post that mentioned this function not working in IE7, yet working in Firefox, etc (reverse of my experience).

Any feedback on what may be causing this behavior?

Many thanks for a great player…!

Flash Player 10 just killed IE 7’s correct functionality… :O/

Does anyone know how to trick this thing into playing an M3U file? I want to rebroadcast streamed music!

    I’ve done a first-time, new install on my site. I’m using FF3, Flash10 and plugin version 2.0 beta 6.

I’m NOT using the stand-alone version.

I get the endless buffering. I’ve read most of the pages in this thread and saw where a couple of others reported this problem but I haven’t found a solution.

    Any help would be appreciated.

HERE is a link to my website. The player is under the “Sermons” Link.

    TIA

I am having the same endless buffering issue. I have installed flash player 10 and that didn’t fix the problem. Any Ideas?

    Thanks,

Apparently this isn’t an “Awesome Little Player” because there appears to be many, many people who can’t get it to work and we can’t get any answers to our questions.

My player WAS stuck in ENDLESS BUFFERING mode but now it doesn’t even show up on my page.

I hate giving up but I guess that’s what I’ll have to do.

I’m running into a problem where the only tab that will display on the options tab is the first tab – “General”

I’m using WordPress 2.6.1 with no admin plugins.
