    @pablofu:

    Yes, unfortunately, the latest version of WordPress requires MySQL 4.0 or higher. If you got this message, your server probably has MySQL 3 installed. If you want to use my plugin, you will need a new server. Sorry about that…

    does this plugin plays mp3 files from different hosts. what i mean is streaming audio files from other servers not local. thanks

    Martin,

    This player is amazing. seriously. Best one out there. I’ve been looking. Is it possiblt to add a fade effect, so that theres no break in the song and have it configurable by seconds? Also CAn you attach a css file to the player? I’ve been trying figure it out, but cannot. AND can you make play .flac files. just some suggestions on an already perfect player.

    If anyone knows how to do any of this, I would appreciate a hand. thanks all

    Thanks Again.

    @bdiky:

    Audio Player is written in Flash and Flash can only play mp3 files so no flac playback.

    Not sure what you mean by attaching a css file to the player. The colours are configurable via the control panel in WordPress or FlashVars if you are using the standalone version (instructions on wpaudioplayer.com).

    Again, not entirely sure what you mean by a “fade effect” but it doesn’t sound like the kind of feature I will be implementing in the future.

    Audio Player can play mp3 files from remote servers. However, if you are talking about actual mp3 streams, then no, it can’t. The player doesn’t do real streaming, you must point it to an mp3 file that can be downloaded.

    Hi there,
    I’ve upgraded to MySQL 4 and WordPress 2.6.1. Everything works fine, but when I write a new post including an MP3 file (after activating your plugin) and using the [audio] syntax (that is inside the post [audio: Yellow.mp3]I get an error in the browser (IE). It says that I cannot open the site. If I delete the post everything is fine.
    Help please!
    Thanks

    @doryphores

    What I mean by the fade is that before a song ends, the next will begin to play so theres no hiccup between song. Just the songs fade into each other.

    Martin, no reply yet my earlier post…know you’re probably busy with all these posts, but could you please reply to my post of 4 days ago, by “songsofthelight”, on page 8 of 9.
    Player still doesn’t show up (where on blog page should I look, and what does it look like). Went through the Firefox troubleshooter, and no Adblock extension and yes, Flash 9 onboard. In the interim I tried the little Import Audio link on my blog’s composition page, which works OK but maybe not as many options as yours. It embeds a link that, if clicked, starts my mp3 playing but on a totally separate white page. I want the mp3 to play while the reader still remains on my blog page. I actually want it to start up automatically the minute the page loads. Reminder, have not published my post yet, so I’m looking for it in Preview mode, don’t know if that’s the problem Help, please…

    Will this work with my Version 2.6.1

    Hi Martin,

    First of all, thanks for a great, slick plug-in.
    I’m using WP 2.6.2, just want to confirm whether it works with this version. I’ve followed setup instructions, but no sign of the player in posts or pages; so I’m guessing it doesn’t work with 2.6.2. If not, I really really look forward to a release that does!

    Thanks again.

    hey doryphores,

    Tool is awesome, I just have a question regarding communication to the tool. For example I have voice over being ran through the player, however there is a captivate that I have that opening in a new window via a link on the same page as the player. The problem that I have is that the captivate contains audio as well, is there anyway of calling a function/code that will tell the player to stop?

    Thanks in advance!

    chewy!

    I seem to consistently get “file not found” errors when the player is linking to files that are readily available on a CDN… (page is at gdgt.com). Pretty vexing issue, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the configuration or install of the player! Any ideas?

    Hey all,
    First, I want to thank you for this amazing audio player! It is absolutely perfect for what I’m trying to do. The only problem I have is with IE7. My music page works perfect in Firefox 3.0.1, but in IE7 for some reason my custom music player colors don’t load. The songs, however, load fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Doryphores,

    Firstly, thanks for this player. I love the way it works and its simplicity. I am trying to figure out if it is possible to put this player to the sidebar? It works fine inside posts but when I put the code [audio:……….] to the sidebar.php, it shows the code instead of the player. Any suggestions, ideas? Should i be using the stand alone version?

    Thanks,

    Cem
