  • Once my feed is “pinged”, it still cannot be found or identified as an enclosure by iTunes and Google Reader. I know it’s something simple, however it’s eluding me right now. Thanks, thanks, and thank you

    Here is the link. I’m using WP 2.5.1 and WP Audio player 2.0.b6. The previous of wp audio player was indeed deleted before this version was installed in my wp-content/plugins folder.

    @dallaskid:

    I checked your feed in Google Reader and I got the enclosures for some of your posts but not all. Your latest post, for example, doesn’t have an enclosure tag despite including a link to the mp3 file.

    I’m not sure it has something to do with Audio Player. You could try to re-save your last post. If you do that, WordPress should add the enclosure custom field to your post because it contains a reference to the mp3 file.

    Let me know how it goes.

    Can you post a link to your site so I can have a look?

    @pinkbeats:

    This is a difficult one. The “encode URL” won’t really help you with this. This is how WordPress handles enclosures (like attachments to a post): if your post contains a reference to an mp3 file, it will automatically include an enclosure tag to your feed which makes the mp3 available to download (this is how podcasting works). Audio Player encodes the URL at runtime (when the post is displayed on your site). Your only option here is to make sure you always delete the enclosure custom field from your posts. Also remember that the enclosure will be restored every time you save your post…

    The whole issue of encoding mp3 URLs to “protect” your files is tricky and I don’t like it very much because anyone with a little knowledge about Flash and the web will be able to get to your files anyway.

    I have updated the standalone instructions page. It now includes instructions for loading multiple files into the player.

    Further testing has shown that I’m suffering from a browser config issue on the test machines – works fine on a third laptop. Sorry for wasting your time.

    It works fine now. Thanks.

    Hello,
    I have one problem.
    My blog is https://sulabhgurjari.com
    in which when i putting more than 3 audio files in different post duing that time my site is stop working. now i cant access it. please tell me what problem occured and how can i solved it..
    please reply soon .. i really need…thank u.

    Downloaded Audio Player into plugins & activated as instructed, but currently nothing showing up on my blog. I’ve written, but haven’t published, my first page, so when I look at it I’m in Preview This Post mode – is that why I can’t see it, or should it show up there too?

    What I want is a player that play’s short 30-second clips of a rotating list of mp3s, and kicks in automatically the minute my page loads. So how to set that up is a second question.

    And a third question is, from where is the player accessing the mp3 files, from my own computer/iTunes, or do I have to upload copy’s of my mp3s to a folder in my host/server?

    P.S. I am using the Amazing Grace theme

    Suggestion, it would be cool if the message “Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required…” could be changed.

    What if we could optionally offer users who do not have the correct flash-support the ability to simply download the file instead? Could we add an interface option which allows the webmaster to toggle download links on or off in this message, or better still – allow the message to be edited with some kind of variable like %%download_link%% replaced with an actual link to the audio file.

    Sal

    Suggestion to AudioPlayer.setup:
    autonext: “yes”

    would result the player to automatically start playing the next found audioplayer after the current track is finished and player closed.

    Sameproblem here. I am getting the message
    “Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser”

    I′ve read all the posts and tried everything but don′t know what′s wrong. You can read my blog here.
    The plug ins I′ve got are:

    @pablofu:

    The problem here is that you are using WordPress 2.0.1. Audio Player requires 2.1 at least. You need to upgrade your WP install to use my plugin. Sorry…

    Thanks. Is it very painful to upgrade?. Will I loose all the work I′ve done?
    Thanks

    I′ve upgraded and I receive the following error:
    ERROR: WordPress 2.6.1 requires MySQL 4.0.0 or higher

    I think it′s related to my server, right?
    Thanks
