Plugin appending id prefix to page builder content

Running into an issue where the ids for all page builder elements are being appended with acfpbf_[id]_. This isn’t so much a problem with the elements that are being generated with this plugin, but I am using page builder for my footer elements and elsewhere and they too are having their id’s appended with this. It has resulted in these elements losing their styling which is generated by page builder. Why would this plugin be appending ids, especially on elements that it shouldn’t be touching? Is it simply cycling through all instances of pgc-[#] ids on the page/post and appending? shouldn’t it only append relative to the ACF? This makes the plugin somewhat useless at this point, unfortunately.
