    Good afternoon

Have tried to test the latest version of the Fixed Widget Plugin. Works fine when viewing the site on a laptop, but when simulating viewing the site via a mobile phone the widgets in the homepage primary sidebar overlap the actual homepage when scrolling down. With version 5.3.0 the widgets in the primary sidebar appear at the bottom of the homepage one after the other.

I then cleared the cache and tested again…unfortunately the same result

Thus, I will have to continue with 5.3.0 until you have had the opportunity to investigate.

    Best regards

    Paul

    Hi Thomas @webzunft

Fully understand…so why don’t I suggest a full day so you can look at any time on that day to help your workload.

    Leave it with you.

@golfingherald maybe you expected me to make a wish, so let’s give tomorrow a try. I should find a minute in between work tasks to check your site.

    Thanks

    Hi Thomas @webzunft

I will implement 6.0.4 at about 09:00 UK time tomorrow (22nd Feb) and only roll back to 5.3.0 when you have had an opportunity to hopefully create and see the issue.

    Best regards

    Hi Thomas @webzunft

I have re-installed 6.0.4 on my live site. The URL for the homepage of Golfing Herald is https://golfingherald.com

Apart from the HomePage, the primary sidebar with the fixed widgets is also configured on the Acknowledgments, Sitemap and Contact pages.

Will leave all day or when you have advised you have managed to re-create the issue.

    Best regards

    Hi Paul,

thanks. I just had a look and tested it also with the changes we made in version 6.0.5 (yet unreleased).

The fixed widgets are no longer overlapping the footer. The stop widget meeting the fixed widget does still look odd, but that might just be how they were set up.

Please test the version I linked above and let me know if you can see the improvement.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas @webzunft

Brilliant! Tested 6.0.5 in my staging environment and all looks good in laptop and mobile device modes. Have tested across the various pages with the primary sidebar.

Have rolled back top 5.3.0 but will upgrade to 6.0.5 when it is formally available.

    Thanks so much.

    Hi Thomas @webzunft

Slightly confused as you have already deployed 6.0.5 to live which as per my earlier response works brilliantly.

Hi Paul, sorry for the confusion. There was indeed an issue I was still seeing on your site. I made a note about it and fixed it, but forgot that you didn’t report it. All should be fine then.

    Thanks,
    Thomas
