    Hi,
Installed EAM yesterday evening in a WP test site. There were already 8 plugins with a pending update.
Tried to click on “Force Updates” button (“Advanced” tab) but nothing happens, plugins and theme are not updated…

Followed instructions on your Github wiki page (“3.3 Troubleshooting Automatic Updates”).
Installed WP Control plugin to check cron processes…
I noticed that there are 2 processes for both plugins (“wp_update_plugins()”) and theme (“wp_update_themes()”).
Both are scheduled to run twice a day (next run at 8:46 PM).

Searching in your WP forum I noticed that hosting providers could be an issue (our provider is Namecheap) and also security plugins (I’m using iThemes Security plugin)…

is there any log file I can check?

    Any clues?

    Thanks for any help!

    Best regards,
    Roberto

    Hi @robertojobet,

By default, EUM won’t update anything automatically. Did you turn on automatic updates?
Dashboard => Update Options => General tab => Automatic Updates => On (set to on instead of default)

wp_update_plugins, wp_update_themes and wp_version_check are all WP default cron jobs which are scheduled to run twice daily and EUM hook into this to perform automatic updating.

    Hi Venkat,
Oh my god, I completely missed the “Automatic Updates” setting….
Now clicking on “Force Updates” button, updates are applied!!

In the General tab, you should write instead of “Automatic Updates” a title like “Automatic Updates” (WordPress, Translations, Plugins & Themes)”.

Moreover you should specify the meaning for each setting:
Default (Normal WP behavior. Only WP updates)
On (Automatic updates for all components)
    Off (Manual updates)
Custom (Select setting for each component)

    Thanks for this excellent plugin!!

    Best regards

    @robertojobet,

Glad you got this resolved and we’ll take your suggestions and discuss them.

If you don’t mind, can you please rate the plugin?
