why isnt there a native way to order the loop by post_title for single posts?

I mean there obviously is a need for looping through by diffrent ordering since introduction of the custom post types

You need to set the format parameter, like this:

'format' => '%link'

Read this article if you need more information. The format and link parameters work exactly the same as described there.
