    Nice work!

    Thanks

Do these fixes automatically work with links that were created in old posts before the update?

Any links created with the plugin are direct HTML that should work forever.

Works great with WP 2.8.5, but some of the “send link to editor” buttons are floating in an unexpected way above some of the text. I have a screenshot at this post if that’s any help. I’m using Firefox and WP 2.8.5.

Otherwise, stellar plugin! I’ve been looking for an Amazon plugin for a while, since the one I was using was left in the dust by a long-ago upgrade.

Any chance you could add an Author link, perhaps as a checkbox option?

I think you meant to post this link: https://www.blogula-rasa.com/2009/10/30/books-the-man-with-the-golden-torc/. Anyways, I’ll take a look at it and see what’s going on.

Actually, could you please tell me what search terms you used so I can reproduce the problem? I’m sure it is something small, but I don’t want to waste a ton of time trying to get it to show up.

Hi Nick. I’m trying your latest version on a new server now and, though I’m certain I’m using the correct API and Secret keys, the ‘Test’ button reports they are generating an error or are incorrect.

Any clue how I can figure out what’s being reported back as that error? Thanks!

    Using WP2.8.6
I have same KEY problem. numerous cut an d pastes etc. all to no avail. I even generated a new Key pair @ amazon, no joy.

Message is: “Your credentials seem to be incorrect. Please check them and try again.”

regardless of what secret key and api code combop i ahve used. i copied and pasted/ i typed it in, etc. no joy.
    any ideas?

I figured out my mistake. I had reversed the keys putting the Secret Key in for the API Key and vice versa. OOPS!

    Recommendations for Nick:
    1. Change the window sizes for the keys to make them reflective of the expected length of the keys. That way looking at the filled in keys they’ll look goofy if not in correct boxes.

    2. Change the order of the boxes, put the API key first since that is the one that amazon displays w/o clicking.

Suggestion: allow entering of the ASIN code if known.
The plug-in delivers only a comparative few choices when amazon may offer thousands, trying to determine the keywords to enter into the plugin to get the exact product to show is frustrating. Otherwise great plug-in.

@dhinz – Thanks for the recommendations. I’ll take them into account.

Edit: Nevermind. Host wasn’t using PHP5…

I’m trying to get Reloaded to work in my fresh install of 2.8.6 but keep getting the following error whenever I try to activate it. Any ideas?

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /homepages/1/d219588137/htdocs/novelnaut/wp-content/plugins/amazon-reloaded-for-wordpress/amazon-reloaded-for-wordpress.php on line 14
