• Hi,

This is a great plugin but I have one small issue.

On my site I review books so use the Custom Fields to enter the ISBN (e.g isbn = 1234567890)

Then I use my custom template to display the isbn should it be entered <?php endif; ?><?php echo get_post_meta($post->ID, isbn, true); ?>

Now, this displays the isbn on the page. Can you tell me how I can use custom fields to get Amazon Machine Tags to get the data from Amazon and display it on the page/post?

    Any help much appericated!!

    J

Also I have just noticed that my sidebar only picks up the tags when on the post of the page. Should I navigate to another part of the site my sidebar goes blank

ah, that actually answers my own question. I don’t need to put the ISBN in the custom fields, only the tags. ok that works, but how can I make the sidebar pick up tags if being views on other non amazon posts?

    ha! I’m having fun tonight!

To get the items to display on every page in the sidebar we add book:isbn=1234567890 to the Default Tags section on the main menu

Right, now if I want to get more info on the product (e.g description, if it’s in stock etc) I think this is in the Advance Config section.

I either need to read the instructions probably or drink more coffee!

sorry, can’t use this plugin anymore. It’s too buggy

If you browse to the post where the ISBN is tagged and marked in the Default Tags section it is duplicated in the sidebar and in the post. So for one article you have 4 links to amazon. I only need 2 max.

Great idea but just not finished yet.
