I’ve tried to set the “Twenty Eleven” theme. In the root folder of the site were set the 775 permission. 777 permission is set to the folder gallery uploads. What do i trying?

@barloccia – Perhaps a link to your site will help with troubleshooting? There are sometimes clues in the page source that may lead to working suggestions.

Also, what troubleshooting steps have you already taken?

Here the site: https://www.caivaldarnosuperiore.it/new. In the page photogallery i would like to insert the galleries of the old site. In the old site i have nextGEN gallery installed smoothly.
Here the link: https://www.caivaldarnosuperiore.it. So i think the problem is the theme..?!
I’ve not tried another troubleshooting step. Maybe by installing an old nextGEN version?
Another thing i forgot: when i try to create a gallery in the file log of server this message appear: “[Thu Dec 11 16:45:18 2014] [error] [client 82.55.131.213]
    , referer: https://www.caivaldarnosuperiore.it/new/wp-admin/admin.php?page=ngg_addgallery”.

@barloccia – I do not believe the entire error message is being displayed in your last response. Also, what WordPress Permalinks are you currently using?

    – Cais.

That there is the entire errore message that display the server. I’m using default permalinks.

@barloccia – Try using a different Permalinks structure such as “Post name” or “Month and name” … see if that helps with the issues you are seeing on your site.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.

i have the same problem, when i try to create a new gallery it tells me that i do not have permission to upload.. BUT i do !!

@pullen – Did you confirm with your web hosting service that files and folders under /wp-content/ are correctly inheriting the appropriate permissions?

So: I’ve changed the permalink and set it to “Post name”. After i changed the permissions of ALL the files within wp-content (Before i had set the permission 777 only for gallery and uploads folders). Moreover i had uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin.
Now: i insert the name gallery, add 1 photo and when i click upload the image is loaded but appear the pop-up: “0 images uploaded”. But now the gallery is created.
When i add 3 photos ( 2 or more) and i click upload the first image is loaded, but the process stop here, so i have to click in the icon on the right of the record ( road sign yellow) and second image is loaded and so on…But wait, the plugin have created three different gallery with the same name!
This is the current situation, i’m sorry for the long message but i never met any problems like this on my wordpress sites so i would like to know the real issue.
If you want other test, tell me!
    Thanks for the help.

@barloccia – Have you checked for conflicts with active plugins on your site?

@dementys – It would probably be best to start your own topic to sort out the specific issue on your site.

    Thanks!

I disabled all my active plugin but nothing. Incredible, i’ve no idea what is doing. We’re sure that the problem isn’t the theme?

    Plugin Contributor photocrati

    (@photocrati)

@barloccia – We have no known issues with the default WordPress Twenty series themes … if it is not a plugin (please note, any caching plugin/service may be holding things in memory causing some troubleshooting steps to appear fruitless) then it could be server related but that is extremely rare.

You are welcome to submit a Bug Report (https://nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) with your site’s specifics and we can try to see if there is more we can do. We will likely need log in and FTP credentials for your WordPress installation as well. Please include those with your Bug Report.

    Thanks!

@afersig – Thanks for linking to that old topic. Changing Permalinks to something other than the “Default” will sometimes help but that solution is mostly web hosting service related.

@afersig – Thank you for the post.
I had already tried with the permalinks, now i emptied the cache.
The gallery is created but if i insert more photos to upload the thing it’s strange: i have to click in the right of the record to upload and the usual pop-up appear with “0 images uploaded..” but the photos are loaded to gallery. Now i think that i can use the plugin in this way but only because i have to upload few photos…at least now something does.
@cais – I will submit the bug report tomorrow with all the information. Thank you very much for your time and your attention.
